A wildlife rescue in the area is seeing an uptick in the need for placement of rescued animals. Nature’s Nursery Wildlife Rescue, the only wildlife rescue of its kind in the area, is running short of space for local resued wildlife. The popular wildlife rescue is in need of a larger facility. Executive Director of the wildlife rescue Allison Aey mentions “We have been needing a new facility, a larger facility for several years as we started years ago in a simple farmhouse.” She continues “With the new larger facility we will be able to help more animals as well as we will be able to allow public access to our facility for the first time ever”
To help Nature’s Nursery Wildlife Rescue raise funds for the new facility Brad McClure and his wife Wendy have orchestrated the Costume Cruise for the Critters motorcycle ride event. The event which will take place on October 16, 2022 will be donating 100% of the beneficial ride’s proceeds to the local wildlife nursery. Mr McClure is well known for putting together several annual benefit bike runs including the annual Pack a Pickup for Pets and Toddler Toy Motorcycle Ride in its 3rd year.
The benefit will begin lining up motorcycles at 9am at 7541 Dutch rd in Waterville OH with donuts being provided. Kick stands will go up at 11am where then the cruise will venture 17 miles to end at the Field of Dreams Drive-In located in Liberty City where Nature’s Nursery Wildlife Rescue will greet the riders with their annual Harvest Festival. Hot dogs will be provided upon arrival. Festivities planned at the finish point are prizes for the best costume, raffles, visiting with the animals on site and more.
