The YWCA Child Care Resource and Referral Department is offering a FREE “Little Hands Sensory Group” to families with children age 2-5 years old who have developmental delays.

The Little Hands Sensory Group will offer at least four different dates, times, and locations to choose from each month in order to reach more families. This group will give families the opportunity to connect with each other and engage in fun activities related to sensory needs and play. Blocks and other activities will be ready for little ones who lose interest in the activity or are only able to attend for a short period of time. The parents will get a bag with all of the materials to create the activity in case they do not finish the activity at the event and want to take it home. Most activities do need close parental supervision due to smaller items such as beans or rice for a sensory bin. The event will last an hour and consist of a sensory activity and flexible play!

“I am excited to provide families with a space to connect and explore sensory play through different activities,” said Charlee Brady, the YWCA Outreach Family Specialist.

CCR&R Little Hands Sensory Group will offer four different dates to attend our session this month. Join us on November 17th at the Toledo Main Library at 3:00pm, November 18th at the Waterville Library at 11:00am, November 21st at the Holland Branch Library at 10:00am, or November 23rd at the Toledo Main Library at 10:00am where we will be making sensory bottles. We hope to see your family at one of the listed dates, times and locations. Please contact Charlee Brady to register or for any questions you may have regarding this group [email protected]
