Homeless Sock Distribution Planned In Toledo Area

TOLEDO- On November 1st Toledo Hemp Center and several other local businesses banded together to collect socks for Toledo’s homeless community. Each individual business hosted a sock collection box where people were able to drop off unused socks for those in the area who are in need of warm pairs of socks. The collected socks are then distributed to the area homeless directly through a predetermined distribution point.
On Sunday December 18 from 11:30am - 12:30pm Toledo Hemp Center and Love My Dog Pet Grooming will team up with 419 Cares to set up the downtown Toledo distribution point at 1904 Madison Ave Toledo OH. Collected socks will be distributed to the homeless community directly.
The local businesses will then continue to collect socks with a planned second distribution date of January 22, 2023. Same location.
Collection locations: Crunch Fitness (4925 Jackman Rd), Toledo Indoor Garden (5520 Secor Rd), The Paddy Shack (4933 Secor Rd), Dandino’s Pizza & More (4804 Lewis Ave), Love My Dog Pet Grooming (7309 Secor Rd Lambertville MI) and Toledo Hemp Center (4925 Jackman Rd).
Toledo Hemp Center is also working with the Christmas Crux 2022 benefit as a designated site for the toy collection. Collected toys will benefit the children at the Toledo Children's Hospital and continue until December 23rd 2022.
