Westcott Live Learning Workshops For Photographers
Toledo, OH – The F J Westcott Company is facilitating professional photography workshops that focus on technology, niche practices, and various applications of equipment. Westcott has partnered with international industry leaders to offer a free online education center to their visitors. There will now be opportunities to meet with these instructors in-person through the Westcott Live Learning program. The workshops will provide opportunities for attendees to get hands-on practice with renowned gear for a professional experience and portfolio advancement.
Westcott has partnered with FilmToledo for an upcoming workshop featuring Jonathan Thorpe, an international commercial photographer. Thorpe’s distinguished style has earned him many publications with features such as Rolling Stone and Netflix. He will bring his mastery of commercializing cinematic looks for photography to the Westcott Soundstage. Jonathan will break down his use of artificial light and uncover new benefits Westcott products have to offer creators.
Participants will also be able to talk with FilmToledo representatives for information on transitioning to film with understanding the proper gear while they cycle through testing Thorpe’s horror film-styled setup with provided talent. Attendees can expect to cover:
- The benefits of continuous light vs. flash
- Staging your setup with multiple lights
- Low light settings and tips
- Translating your skills to film
Westcott launched Live Learning to give experiential education to the digital media and arts community that cannot be obtained online. The goal is to give affordable and expert experience to the growing creative community of NWO.
