Virtual Talk: Removing and Preventing NW Ohio's Marine Debris

Community-minded Northwest Ohioans can join Partners for Clean Streams’ virtual talk, Removing and Preventing Northwest Ohio’s Marine Debris, on Tuesday, March 21 from 7-8pm by registering at bit.ly/PCSRegister_TrashTalk. Participants can also find the sign-up link at PartnersForCleanStreams.org

This virtual talk will focus on preventing trash in our local Northwest Ohio waterways. With more than 20 years of citizen science data from greater-Toledo waterway clean-up programs, presenter Olivia Simkins Bullock will discuss exactly what gets removed from our waterways, how trash travels through our water system, and practical tips for how everyone can play a part to prevent trash from reaching our Great Lakes, rivers, creeks, and storm drains in the first place.

This talk will also introduce some of Partners for Clean Streams’ upcoming volunteer programs, focused on water stewardship, education, and community collaboration. Using Microsoft Teams via a browser or through the app, participants will be able to ask questions and interact with the presenter as well as one another.
