The 15th Annual Rose Run 5k Run/Walk & Kids 1k Fun Run Returns to Southeastern Michigan, Saturday, July 8th 8th, 2023

The 15th Annual Rose Run Returns to the small farm town of Petersburg, Michigan, supporting the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center. This small farm town race delivers big results for breast cancer research and cancer patient care at one of Michigan’s most renowned cancer treatment centers.

The Rose Run was started by the family of Rose Marie Hunt in 2009. Rose, a Petersburg, native, lost her battle with breast cancer in 2009. She was a wife, mother, sister friend and valued member of the community...a woman loved by all. The success of the run has reached across state lines, drawing in participants from across multiple states. In 14 years, The Rose Run has raised over $250,000 for metastatic breast cancer research and patient care.

The Petersburg race has never lost traction! The Rose Run kicks off the annual tradition of Community Day in Petersburg, which is located between Toledo, Ohio and Ann Arbor, Michigan right off of US 23. Community Day celebrates the town with a fantastic parade at 12 noon, shortly after the conclusion of The Rose Run.

Online registration for this event is open right now until Thursday, July 6th. Pre-registration fees are $30 for the 5k and $20 for the kids’ 1k fun run. On race day, the prices will go up by $5. The 5k starts at 8:30am and the 1k starts at 9:40am.
