TOLEDO- The 4th of July is a holiday that brings people together for many celebrations, which typically include firework shows. Unfortunately these celebrations come with a cost to some local pets; especially dogs. While some aren't affected in the slightest, it is estimated that possibly 45% of dogs have a firework phobia- something that is becoming an increasingly serious welfare concern.
To help combat this concern Toledo Hemp Center plans to hold its annual giveaway of free CBD pet packets to benefit local fur babies suffering from firework anxiety. Toledo Hemp Center will be giving away 1000+ free CBD liquid packets on July 1, 2023 to anyone with a pet who suffers from firework anxiety. Toledo Hemp Center owner Kevin Spitler voiced that one happy customer mentioned her pets were “cool as a cucumber”, during an evening onslaught of neighborhood fireworks. In 2022 Toledo Hemp Center gave away 700+ FREE CBD packets, this year they have 1000+ packets to give away. Asked about the increase of FREE CBD packets T.H.C. Owner Kevin Spitler explains “We have been doing this for several years and EVERY year we run out. We hope that this year we have plenty for those in need”. Mr. Spitler adds “I am a pet owner myself, I get it. I have dealt with anxious pets from holiday fireworks for years. With that being said, I feel obligated to help area pets get through an obviously difficult time”.
Pet owners can pick up the FREE CBD Liquid Packets at Toledo Hemp Center located at 4925 Jackman Rd #20 on July 1, 2023 during normal business hours. Puff Palz LLC will be on site offering picture taking of people’s fur babies. One CBD packet per dog please.
