Local Artist Patsy Camp's Paintings to Compliment The Toledo Area Sculpture Guild's Exhibition at TAG Gallery Space

Port Clinton, Ohio - July 5, 2023 - Renowned local artist and art education advocate, Patsy Camp, proudly announces her participation in The Toledo Area Sculpture Guild's upcoming exhibition. Camp's captivating paintings will be on display at the TAG Gallery Space from July 5, 2023, to September 3, 2023.

The exhibition, featuring an exquisite collection of sculptures and paintings, will open with a reception on July 8, 2023, 6 to 8 pm. Art enthusiasts and the public are invited to experience this remarkable showcase at The Arts Garage gallery in Port Clinton, Ohio. Located at 317 W. Perry Street, TAG welcomes visitors Wednesday through Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM.

The Arts Garage, originally built in 1935 as the city garage, now stands as a vibrant testament to artistic expression. Adorned with locally made yellow tiles from the era, this impressive venue boasts over 8,000 square feet of transformed space. Serving as a hub for artists and art enthusiasts in Ottawa County, TAG received the esteemed Community Service Award in 2019 from the Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council. We encourage the public to show their support by visiting this captivating destination.

Patsy Camp, a prominent figure in the arts scene of Northwest Ohio, continues to leave an indelible mark. Alongside her dedication to advocating for arts education, Camp retired after an illustrious twenty-six-year career, always staying involved in the artistic community of Sylvania. Her journey began in 1961 with Toledo Public Schools at Woodward High School, followed by DeVilbiss High School until 1964. Throughout her career, Camp's artistic style has evolved into sophisticated organic compositions, showcasing inventive and richly textured paintings. Exhibiting deep hues and delicate accents that highlight edges, her artwork instills a sense of serene sincerity in viewers. Patsy's invaluable contributions extend beyond her own artistic endeavors, as she actively supports local arts advocacy agencies and continues to mentor students and aspiring art teachers from The University of Toledo. Notably, Camp's impressive body of work includes three pieces acquired by The Toledo Museum of Art's Collector's Corner, and she is set to unveil a new show at TAG in Port Clinton.

As a member of The Sculpture Guild for over a decade, Camp's paintings will beautifully complement the ongoing exhibition running until September 3, 2023.
