Maumee, OH - Appliance Center, the largest Furniture and Appliance Superstore in the area, announced today that they are hosting Rescue in the 419, the largest animal adoption event in the area. The event will take place on Saturday, September 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at their Maumee Superstore located at 321 Illinois Avenue.
In partnership with Buckeye Broadband and Whirpool, Rescue in the 419 will feature adoptable pets from several rescue organizations, such as the Toledo Humane Society, the Wood County Humane Society, Compassionate Care Animal Rescue, Toledo Animal Rescue, Planned Pethood, Paws & Whiskers, Lucas County Canine Care and Control, and Saints Elsewhere Pet Rescue, giving attendees the opportunity to meet and adopt a new furry friend.
In addition to the rescue organizations, several pet-related businesses will be present, offering a variety of products and services to benefit pets, including 3 Dog Bakers, Hollywood Feed, Pet Supplies Plus, Anthony Wayne Animal Hospital, and Chicken Soup for the Soul Pet Food.
Attendees will have the chance to participate in pet costume contests, scavenger hunts, pet games, and pet photos. A brand new Maytag Pet-Pro Washer & Dryer will be raffled off to benefit animal rescue, and a representative from the company will be on hand to explain the benefits of this exciting new laundry system.
Food trucks will be on hand to offer delicious treats at this fun event for the entire family, and K100 and 93.5 WRQN will be broadcasting live throughout the event.
The event will also feature special savings on the area's largest in-stock selection of furniture, mattresses, and appliances.
