First Ever “10th Street Stroll” Event Set for Friday, October 13th
FIRST EVER “10TH STREET STROLL” EVENT TO TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAY THE 13TH OF OCTOBER
Downtown Toledo Businesses Collaborate to Host Evening of Festive Fall Food and Fun
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 18, 2023
TOLEDO, Ohio – On Friday, October 13, 2023, starting at 5:00 PM, the independent businesses who share the 10th Street block between Monroe and Jefferson in Downtown Toledo will host the first ever 10th Street Stroll: Friday the 13th Edition. This event, conceived in the spirit of small business collaboration, and inspired by the suburban “progressive dinner” trend of yesteryear, will offer ticket holders food items, beverages, and more at each of five businesses on the block, all within walking (i.e., strolling) distance from one another. Ticket holders will park just once and stroll from business to business to enjoy:
- handcrafted appetizers, light refreshments, and shopping discounts at Just Toledo,
- a choice of seasonal sliders entree at The Leaf and Seed Cafe,
- a specialty pumpkin ice cream dessert or other seasonal flavor at Swanky Scoops,
- rosemary caramel corn and exclusive shopping discounts at Culture Clash Records,
- and a drink ticket good for one cocktail or mocktail to round out the evening at The Switchboard.
Attendees who get their event “passport” stamped at all participating businesses will be entered to receive a gift basket featuring items from each (valued at well above the ticket price for the Stroll), and ticket holders who attend the Stroll in a Halloween costume will receive an extra gift basket entry!
Advance tickets are available for $50 at https://www.justtoledo.net/events.Tickets are limited, so people are encouraged to buy early and online. Tickets are required to take part in the full event offerings at each business location. A-la-carte and kids’ options will also be available at this family-friendly event, and ample parking is available in the participating business lots accessible from 10th Street, along with street parking surrounding the block. Attendees must check-in to receive their event “passport” (generously printed by Erie Ink) at Just Toledo between 5:00 and 8:00 PM. The Stroll will end at 9:00 PM, with the option to stay and continue the party at The Switchboard. The Stroll will also feature composting services from Bad Apple Compost.
