Toledo Hemp Center Spearheads Community Drive to 'Sock It To The Homeless' Amid Winter Months
Toledo, OH - October 1, 2023 - January 7, 2024 -- Toledo Hemp Center is joining forces with local businesses to "Sock It To The Homeless" this winter. This partnership aims to garner community support in collecting new and unused socks, which are among the most needed yet least donated items for the homeless community. With Toledo's brutally harsh winters, the need for warm socks becomes a vital necessity for those living on the streets.
Toledo Hemp Center, located at 4925 Jackman Rd, is leading this initiative, partnering with twelve other local businesses to establish collection points across the city. These include Crunch Fitness, Papa's Tavern, The Polish Ostrich, Daffy's, 5 Pints Bar & Grille, Hammer's Grill, The Tattoo Shop, Wheelin On The Rocks, Kickstand Saloon, Charles E. Boyd Law Offices, Mayfly Tavern, and Toledo Indoor Garden.
This year's sock collection drive runs from October 1, 2023, until January 7, 2024. This extended duration allows ample time for Toledo citizens to contribute to this significant cause.
