Toledo, OH - December 16, 2023 -- The spirit of giving, joy, and unity comes alive as the 4th Annual Christmas Cruz sets the stage for a memorable and heartwarming holiday season. This much-awaited event will be held on December 16, starting at 5:30 pm at the Toledo Hemp Center, 4925 Jackman Rd, situated within the Miracle Mile Shopping Center. As always, the Christmas Cruz is dedicated to the memory of Toledo’s fallen hero, Police Officer Anthony Dia.

The evening will commence with the serving of cookies and drinks, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The highlight of the event is the opportunity for attendees to have FREE pictures taken with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Buddy the Elf, among other well-loved Christmas characters. This magical experience is designed to spark joy and spread the magic of Christmas.

At 6:45 pm, the event will pause for a poignant moment of silence in honor of Officer Dia, a tribute to his bravery and dedication to the community. The silence will be a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by those who protect and serve, adding a profound depth to the evening's celebrations.

Following this, at 7pm, a convoy of gleaming tow trucks will traverse from the Toledo Hemp Center towards the Toledo Children's Hospital. Santa and Mrs. Claus, in their traditional attire, will bring up the rear of the parade, majestically riding on a large flatbed tow truck in Santa's sleigh. The convoy will parade around the hospital, a spectacle to delight the children and fill the night with wonder and joy.

Dee Lynn, the Event Organizer, shares, "Our goal with the Christmas Cruz is to bring some holiday cheer to those who need it most. We want to let the children at the hospital know that they are in our thoughts and that we care."

In the spirit of generosity that defines the season, local businesses have rallied to collect toys for the children at the hospital and pet products to benefit the Lucas County Pit Crew. The toy and pet supplies collection will continue through December 29, gifts will be delivered at a later date, extending the holiday cheer beyond the event itself.
