Danberry Realtors’ 29th Treasure Chest Auction and Gala Raised Monumental Funds for ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital
Thanks to the local community, over $100K was raised to help address the unprecedented spike in mental health issues in children
On Thursday, March 21, Danberry Realtors hosted its 29th annual Danberry Treasure Chest Auction and Gala at Glass City Center. The event brought more than 450 community members together to raise over $100K for the ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital to increase access to care and expand capacity for specialty pediatric behavioral healthcare.
Through the overwhelming support and generosity of the community, local businesses, agents and sponsors, the funds raised will support ProMedica in building a comprehensive pediatric mental health infrastructure. The new infrastructure will address not only the immediate mental and behavioral health needs of local youths, but also will have an impact on their long-term health and the social and economic health of our communities.

With the unprecedented spike in mental health issues in children, healthcare providers and organizations that serve these populations are overwhelmed and overburdened by the skyrocketing need for all levels of pediatric behavioral healthcare. The demand for these services, combined with a nationwide shortage of healthcare workers and inadequate facilities for specialized mental healthcare, has created a public health emergency that will reverberate for generations if we don’t take action today.

ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital received a $17 million capital grant through Ohio’s Pediatric Behavioral Health Initiative to support pediatric behavioral healthcare. The funds raised at the 2024 Danberry Treasure Chest Auction and Gala will go towards the additional $2 million needed to complete this much-needed service.
Since the inception of the Danberry Treasure Chest in 1994, the charity has raised nearly $1.8 million to provide support for local families.
