National Museum of the Great Lakes to Host Toledo Senior Appreciation Tour Event on September 17
The National Museum of the Great Lakes is excited to announce its participation in the Toledo Senior Appreciation Tour, a special event dedicated to celebrating our aging community. In partnership with Medical Mutual and Paramount, the museum will open its doors on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering free admission and a variety of engaging activities to visitors aged 60 and older.
"We are thrilled to be a part of this special day dedicated to our senior community," said Sara Smith, Director of Institutional Advancement at the National Museum of the Great Lakes. "Providing interactive and engaging activities and history lessons to our aging community is incredibly important to us. We believe in creating opportunities for learning, connection, and joy, and we are excited to welcome seniors to experience the rich history of the Great Lakes in a meaningful way."

"We are committed to making history accessible and engaging for everyone, and events like the Toledo Senior Appreciation Tour allow us to share the stories of the Great Lakes with those who have lived through so much of it," added Smith.
