Karuna House Celebrates Grand Opening of New Wellness Center in Perrysburg, Ohio on September 2
Perrysburg, OH – Karuna House is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its new facility in Perrysburg, Ohio, following months of community buzz about the latest addition to the area. The grand opening of this expanded practice will be celebrated on Saturday, September 28th, 10am-2pm, and the community is warmly invited to join in the festivities.
Located just one block south of its original Perrysburg space, the new Karuna House facility enhances the center’s ability to offer advanced psychotherapies and wellness services. Since its founding in 2016, Karuna House has established itself as a leader in innovative therapy, with a focus on EMDR Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and other somatic approaches as well as a Training Institute for trauma.
Founders, Gretchen (Leu) von Seggern and Andrew Lesniewicz, bring over 50 years of combined experience in psychotherapy to this new venture. Their commitment to compassionate, body-mind healing is at the core of their practice, which emphasizes the transformative power of “Karuna” or compassionate action.
The expanded facility will not only continue to provide exceptional mental health counseling but will further extend its array of services including sound therapy, somatic movement therapy, mindfulness and meditation, yoga, massage therapy, psychological landscape coaching, First Responder wellness retreats, and EQ experiential classes specifically for children. The new location will host The Karuna House Training Institute for developing clinical skills and a Trauma Response team ready to support those affected by traumatic events. Karuna House is also excited to announce that Shobu Aikido of Ohio, owned and led by Andrew Lesniewicz, will be joining the facility with a dedicated Aikido martial art dojo. This new addition complements Karuna House's commitment to body-mind wellness and enhances its comprehensive approach to healing and personal growth, offering a unique blend of therapeutic and physical practices.
