“Robert Garcia: All Sides Now” solo exhibition at 20 North Gallery
Paintings and sculpture to be featured in show of new and legacy artworks
Toledo, OH—September 20, 2024. On Friday, October 18, 2024, 20 North Gallery will be pleased to open “Robert Garcia: All Sides Now,” a retrospective solo exhibition of Northwest Ohio artist Robert Garcia’s new and legacy artworks, in his signature style of magical realism. The exhibit will include oil paintings, watercolor paintings, paper mâché, ceramics and bronze sculpture.
The exhibit will open with a free, Public Reception on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 6 – 9 p.m., featuring a light tapas buffet and cash bar by Venue. The exhibition will continue through December 21, 2024.
The captivating works of museum-collected artist Robert Garcia have delighted Northwest Ohio viewers for four decades. Comprising his solo exhibit, “Robert Garcia: All Sides Now,” will be curated artworks from throughout his artistic career, in addition to the debut of new pieces. This exhibit will feature works on canvas and panel, as well as pieces suitable for pedestal display.
Robert Garcia (Whitehouse, Ohio)
With early roots in Texas, Robert Garcia has a distinguished 40-year career in the arts in Toledo, Ohio. Garcia studied at The University of Toledo (Ohio) and earned a fellowship to The Yale Summer School of Music and Art (Norfolk, Connecticut). His work forms part of numerous permanent, public and private collections of museums and institutions including The Arts Commission (Toledo, Ohio), The University of Toledo, Toledo Botanical Garden (Ohio) and the Toledo Museum of Art (Ohio). Garcia is a former instructor in the Toledo Public Schools system.
In addition to the featured exhibition, 20 North Gallery continues to display glass, paintings, jewelry and artists’ cards by noted artists of the region. Gallery hours are Wednesdays through Saturdays from noon to 4p.m.
