Love ‘n Learn Educational Child Care, formerly Holy Cross Day Care, was founded in 1974 by the Spevak Family in the basement of a church. When that church closed in 2004 the Spevak’s transitioned the program to its current location on Secor Road, renaming the program Love ‘n Learn Educational Child Care. Love ‘n Learn Educational Child Care was originally established to meet the newly emerging need of working mothers. Over time it grew to be one of the elite, highly quality rated programs in Ohio. The program began participating in Ohio’s Step Up to Quality Rating system with the pilot program in 2004 and was one of the first in the state to achieve a Five Star (now Gold) rating.
The ongoing commitment to quality, the family-like nature of the programs, the dedicated, highly trained staff all contribute to the reason for the incredible longevity of this small business. Love ‘n Learn Educational Child Care has fostered lifelong relationships and built a legacy of excellence that has guided the program through numerous milestones- including a change in ownership in 2020.
