The Athena Art Society will present their 2024 Fall Juried Exhibit, installed at the Owens Community College Center for Fine and Performing Arts in the Walter E. Terhune Gallery (7270 Biniker Dr. Perrysburg, OH 43551). The Athena Art Society previously presented their non-juried spring 2023 members' exhibit at the Terhune Gallery and is pleased to be welcomed back this fall for their annual juried exhibition of paintings, ceramics, photography and more. The free and open-to-the-public Opening Reception will be held on November 7, 2024, from 5-7 pm.

The Athena Art Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, women's fine art organization formed in 1903 and based in Northwest Ohio. One of the oldest women’s art organizations in the country, the Athena Art Society Inc. began in 1903 to assist and encourage women in all branches of the Fine Arts. Athena continues to promote and develop the visual arts and stimulate community participation through local art awards and scholarships, juried and non-juried member exhibitions, and supporting other arts organizations through leadership and partnerships.

The exhibit will be on view from October 31 – December 13, 2024.

The exhibited artworks and juried awards will be selected by Mille Guldbeck, who has been the recipient of numerous endowments, grants, residencies, and fellowships. Her work is in public collections in Europe, the US, and Asia. She is represented by Concept Art Gallery in Pittsburgh, PA and Galleri 5000 in Denmark. She is currently a Full Professor of Painting at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. She lives and works in Ohio and Denmark.
