Maumee, Ohio – November 2024 – The Maumee Valley Historical Society invites you to experience the magic of the holiday season at Yuletide at the Museum, a festive, family-friendly event taking place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the beautiful Wolcott Heritage Center.
Step back in time and celebrate the holidays with an enchanting mix of old-world charm and modern holiday cheer. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will be welcoming children of all ages for a memorable visit and photo opportunity, while families can enjoy delicious hot chocolate and warm refreshments as they explore the festive grounds.
In addition to family fun, guests can experience a taste of history with mead tastings provided by Four Fires Meadery. Their local, handcrafted meads will be served in our atmospheric, Victorian-style tavern, tucked away in the Wolcott House basement.
Throughout the day, the grounds will come alive with historical re-enactment actors, offering insights into 19th-century Christmas traditions and bringing to life the spirit of the past. From holiday decorating in the historical homes to live Christmas carols filling the air in our quaint Country Chapel, this special event is perfect for all ages.
Children can also enjoy craft stations, where they can create their own holiday decorations and take home a piece of the season’s joy. With something for everyone, Yuletide at the Museum is the perfect way to celebrate the holiday season with the whole family!
