Neighborhood Properties, Maumee Bay Brewing, and Q105 Toledo to Host “Karaoke for Housing” Fundraiser During National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week
Toledo, OH – November 13th, 2024 – In recognition of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, Neighborhood Properties, in collaboration with Maumee Bay Brewing Company and Q105 Toledo, is proud to present “Karaoke for Housing,” a fundraiser dedicated to helping individuals in Toledo experiencing homelessness and living with mental illness and substance use disorders. The event will take place on November 21st, 2024, from 6p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Maumee Bay Brewing Company. Tickets are $15 with proceeds supporting critical housing needs for vulnerable community members.
This engaging event will unite the community for an evening of fun, music, and impact. Guests are invited to take the stage and sing their hearts out for a cause, enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres, grazing stations, and a cash bar. The night will also feature heartfelt impact stories, showcasing the difference stable housing and mental health support can make in the lives of individuals facing homelessness.
Attendees can take part in a 50/50 raffle, explore an art gallery with local artwork from the formally unhoused, all contributing to the event’s $25,000 fundraising goal. Funds raised will go directly to programs supporting permanent supportive housing and wraparound services for Toledoans in need.
“We are grateful to host this event during such a meaningful time,” said Lynnette Hair, Executive Director of Neighborhood Properties. “National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week brings light to pressing issues in our community, and through Karaoke for Housing, we can make a lasting impact by raising both awareness and funds to provide safe, stable, and affordable housing solutions for our most vulnerable neighbors.”
