Woman to Woman - Domestic Violence Community Awareness & Fundraiser with YWCA of Northwest Ohio

Posted: Tuesday, December 3, 2024 by: Nicole Edelbrock | Category: Community Interest

7:30 am, December 10th, 2024 | Inverness Club | Hosted by YWCA of Northwest Ohio

Woman to Woman celebrates the power of women’s philanthropy to make a difference in the lives of women and children who desperately need it.

We invite you to hear Janine Latus share her heart-wrenching personal journey through domestic violence. As she reveals her story of abuse, Janine will share how to recognize signs of abuse, how to intervene, ask for help, and begin anew to build a life free from fear.

Woman to Woman fosters meaningful conversation around the truths and barriers faced in domestic abuse.

Highlighting the importance of individual and collective action, discover how to be more vigilant and supportive to victims of abuse. Together, we fight for progress in our community as we offer the opportunity to help ensure that no woman in our community is alone in her journey; and that every individual and family, desperately struggling to survive abuse, can access our shelter and services to find a safe haven and a fresh start.

Doors open for a breakfast buffet at 7:30 AM. Event begins promptly at 8:00 AM.

Join us as we uncover how our culture around relationships creates more barriers for survivors of abuse, hear from best-selling Author Janine Latus, learn about how to support victims of abuse, and find community amongst others along the way.

Purchase a signed copy of Janine Latus's book"If I Am Missing or Dead," along with your ticket for pick-up at the event. Only 40 pre-signed copies are available, get yours today! A portion of book sales will be donated to YWCA of Northwest Ohio.

Raffle tickets are available for Janine Latus's 'Write at the Beach' weekend writing workshop and retreat in the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina. Add-on raffle tickets with your ticket purchase for a chance to win! The raffle winner will be announced at the event. Proceeds benefit the YW.
