Lead Screening for Children/Toy Giveaway Event
What:
The Junction Coalition, in partnership with the Neighborhood Health Association (NHA), is hosting a childhood lead screening event, "Get The LEAD Out Of The Holidays" Toy Giveaway. This event is supported by a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) through their Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program. The Junction Coalition is one of only 11 organizations in the United States and the only one in Ohio to receive this grant.
At the event, children will receive a lead exposure screening conducted by doctors provided by NHA. Upon completion of the screening, each child will receive a FREE TOY! The event is open to all children, especially newborns to 6-year-olds.
