PRESS RELEASE from TOLEDO MOBILE RADIO ASSOCIATION (TMRA)
TOPIC: WINTER FIELD DAY
WHEN: JANUARY 25, 2025     9:30am to 4pm
WHERE: CHURCH of the CROSS  1750 EASTGATE ROAD, TOLEDO, OH 43614
 
 
All Amatuer Radio operators and the Public are invited to Winter Field Day to learn about Emergency preparation, January 25, 2025 at the Church of the Cross.
 
The object of Winter Field Day is to show how fast a line of Communication could be set up thru Amatuer Radio Radio, if or when there is a loss of power, no cell phones, no water, no fuel. Radio operators in various sections in the area could be in touch relaying messages of interest in an emergency. Operators will be setting up radios and antennas showing how this can be done.
