"Rotary Club of Maumee Announces Diamonds & Denim Charity Auction to Support Local Community Initiatives"

MAUMEE, OH – The Rotary Club of Maumee will host its annual Charity Auction on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 6:00 PM, bringing together community members to support local and regional service projects.

This premier fundraising event, Diamonds & Denim, taking place at the Hilton Garden Inn in Perrysburg, represents the culmination of efforts by over 80 dedicated Rotary Club members committed to making a tangible difference in Northwest Ohio communities.

Purpose: Fundraiser for Maumee Rotary Service Foundation

The Maumee Rotary Service Foundation has a proven track record of supporting vital community programs, including:

  • Healthcare Access: Providing an ultrasound machine to Compassion Health Toledo, enabling comprehensive medical services for underserved populations
  • Family Support: Partnering with Mosaic Ministries to fund educational programs, food distribution, and Baby University services
  • Housing Rehabilitation: Collaborating with Habitat for Humanity to restore homes in south Toledo
  • Youth Support:
    • Purchasing & distributing Christmas gifts through Buffalo Soldiers Angel Tree program
    • Creating fleece blankets for foster care youth in Lucas, Wood, and Fulton Counties
    • Awarding over $200,000 in scholarships through the Student of the Month and STRIVE Programs at Maumee High School over many years
