TOLEDO, Ohio – Charles Boyk Law Offices announces the return of its 17th annual Bikes for Kids contest. Our law firm will give away 10 bikes to deserving children nominated by the NW Ohio community.
Do you know a kid who has done something special for others, positively impacted their community, excelled in school, or overcome a significant challenge or illness? Whatever they’ve done to inspire you or others, we want to hear their story.
Parents, teachers, family members, and friends are invited to nominate a child for the 2025 Bikes for Kids contest. We will choose winners from the most compelling and deserving nominations to receive a free bike, compliments of Charles Boyk Law.

Charles Boyk Law Offices will announce a winner each week throughout the summer. Bikes for Kids winner profile videos will be featured on WTOL TV, YouTube and shared on Boyk Law’s social media channels.
Bikes for Kids was created to promote bicycle safety and recognize deserving children in our community. “We started Bikes for Kids to honor and reward some amazing children in northwest Ohio who rise above challenges and selflessly serve others,” says Chuck Boyk. “We have given away over 165 bikes to extraordinary children.”
Charles Boyk Law buys the bikes from Wersell’s, Toledo’s oldest bike shop. Jill Wersell, the store owner, personally custom-fits the bikes and provides a helmet and a bike lock for each of our Bikes for Kids winners. “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Charles Boyk Law Offices on Bikes for Kids!” says Jill Wersell. “This is a great opportunity to recognize and reward some excellent and deserving children. We look forward to it every year.”
