Music at the Market Presents Kim Buehler & Friends

Music at the Market welcomes the smooth, swinging sounds of Kim Buehler and Friends on Thursday, August 21, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on the Commodore Schoolyard lawn at 140 E. Boundary Street in downtown Perrysburg. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket for an evening of music in the open air.

About Kim Buehler
A dynamic vocalist with a career spanning more than three decades, Kim Buehler has built a reputation as one of the most versatile and expressive voices in the region. A master’s graduate in Classical and Jazz Vocal Performance from the University of Toledo, Kim has sung everything from country to classical, but her heart belongs to jazz.

Her career has taken her to stages across the United States and internationally, including Paris and the QEII with jazz legend Jon Hendricks. She is a sought-after studio and commercial vocalist, lending her voice to countless radio and television campaigns, and has recorded with local, regional, and national artists. In addition to performing as a soloist, Kim is a founding member of the vocal jazz ensemble 6th Edition and has taught voice at both the University of Toledo and the Toledo School for the Arts, where she currently works in the Development Department.

The Quartet
Joining Kim on stage will be three of the region’s most respected jazz musicians.Kevin Korecki (keyboard) – A Toledo native and accomplished pianist, Kevin has been performing with Kim since 1986. Known for his fluid blend of jazz and classical styles, his résumé includes work with the Toledo Symphony and collaborations with leading regional artists.

  • Kevin Eikum (bass) – A member of the Toledo Jazz Orchestra for over 20 years, Kevin has performed with jazz greats including Clark Terry, Benny Golson, and Kurt Elling. A fellow member of 6th Edition, he has been making music alongside Kim since the mid-1990s.
  • Olman Piedra (drums) – Professor of Percussion at the University of Toledo, Olman is an accomplished jazz, Latin, and contemporary musician who has performed internationally, including with the Grammy-winning New York Voices. His academic credentials include a DMA from Bowling Green State University and dual master’s degrees from the University of Michigan.

An Evening of Timeless Favorites
With Buehler’s rich vocals at the forefront and a trio of powerhouse musicians behind her, the quartet promises a night of music that blends elegance, energy, and the spontaneous joy of jazz. From beloved standards to inventive arrangements, this performance will showcase the artistry of musicians who live and breathe their craft.
