Lace Up Your Running Shoes for the Spirit of Sierah Color Run on October 4 Toledo, OH - The Justice for Sierah Spirit of Sierah Color Run is set to take place on Saturday, October 4th at 9 a.m. on the campus of The University of Toledo (2801 Bancroft St, Toledo, OH 43606). With support from Title Sponsor, North Star Bluescope Steel, LLC., this family-friendly event is a great way to honor the memory of Sierah Joughin and support Justice for Sierah which empowers our youth through the establishment of self-awareness and self-defense in school curricula and communities.

Avid runners can join the 5K Color Run at 9 a.m., while the 1-Mile Fun Run starting at 9:15 a.m. is ideal for families with little ones or those who prefer a shorter distance. If you can't attend in person, you can still participate from anywhere with the Virtual 5K. Registration is open and will remain available until the morning of the race. The registration fee also guarantees a t-shirt if registered before September 12th. Participants will be decorated with splashes of color throughout the course and finish line festivities will feature music from a live DJ, treats, Kid’s Zone area and other games and activities. It's a fun-filled event that you won't want to miss!

The Spirit of Sierah Color Run is designed to honor the life and legacy of Sierah Joughin. Sierah was a University of Toledo student who was tragically taken from our community in 2016 by a repeat violent offender. Justice for Sierah (JFS) is a nonprofit organization working to empower communities through self-defense, advocacy, and support to prevent violence and protect lives. The Sierah Strong for the Community program has positively impacted 6,000 children with self-defense training and distributed 3,000 KidPrint IDs. Sierah Strong for the Schools has reached 50 schools, bringing life-saving education both in and out of the classroom.
