Greater Toledo Realtist Association Announces Fletcher Word as 2025 President’s Community Choice Award Recipient
Toledo, OH – October 2025 — The Greater Toledo Realtist Association (GTRA) proudly announces that Fletcher Word, Publisher of The Sojourner’s Truth, has been selected as the 2025 President’s Community Choice Award recipient.
Each year, the President of GTRA selects one individual or organization whose contributions have had a lasting impact on the Toledo community. Mr. Word was chosen for his steadfast dedication to informing, uplifting, and advocating for the Black community through journalism, truth-telling, and leadership.
Mr. Word will be honored during GTRA’s signature fundraiser, the 4th Annual Masquerade & Installation Night, where he will be presented with a donation in recognition of his service.

The event will feature dinner, music entertainment, casino games, and the installation of GTRA leadership for 2026. Community members, businesses, and supporters are invited to attend and celebrate this special evening.
