Lucas County Retired Teachers' Association 2025 Student Scholarship Awards

On Thursday, October 16, 2025, the Lucas County Retired Teachers’ Association awarded a $1,000 scholarship to each of the following University of Toledo College of Education students: Rachel Seekins--Graduate of Brookside HS, Mackenzie Kirkendall--Graduate of Bowsher HS, and Emma Fritsch--Graduate of Evergreen HS. Each of these young women met the criteria for their scholarships by being a Junior or Senior in a Lucas County college or university education program, meeting the financial need standards, providing a transcript and two letters of recommendation, and completing the online application which includes four short essays. Congratulations to our 2025 scholarship winners!
