Breakfast with Santa

Set for December 6 at the Maumee Senior Center

Breakfast with Santa returns again to the Maumee Senior Center! The event will take place at the Maumee Senior Center, 2430 S. Detroit Ave., from 9 a.m.-noon December 6, 2025.

“Breakfast with Santa at the Maumee Senior Center is an annual tradition for many families in the community. We have new families participating every year, along with multiple generations of grandparents, parents and children,” said Malinda Ruble, executive director of the center.

Registration for Breakfast with Santa is $7 for children under the age of 12 and $9 for anyone 12 and older. Breakfast includes, sausage, pancakes with a topping bar, juice, milk or coffee.

New this year, there will be a Gluten Free meal and a Vegan meal option available in addition to the traditional meal.

“We know there are many individuals and families who avoid gluten and animal products. We have offered Gluten-Free pancakes for the last several years, but this year we are incorporating a Vegan option also. We want our event to be accommodating for everyone’s dietary preferences,” said Ruble.

In addition to breakfast, families will get to take home a printed photo with Santa and a hand-made stocking stuffed with goodies.

“This event is so much more than just breakfast,” said Ruble. “Children will be able to play games, sponsored by Grace Communion Maumee, color, decorate cookies and make reindeer food. And of course, Santa will be available to listen to Christmas wishes and talk with the children about his reindeer at the North Pole.”

“Although Breakfast with Santa is a fundraising event for the Maumee Senior Center’s activities and services for seniors, we are encouraging everyone attending to Stuff the Stocking for Seniors by bringing donated canned goods and non-perishable items to the event,” said Ruble. “With the rising cost of food, along with the elimination/reduction of government supplemental food programs, many seniors may find it difficult to make ends meet.”

Stuff the Stocking for Seniors will take place at the Maumee Senior Center from November 17-December 19. Visitors can drop off non-perishable items or financial donations to the Maumee Senior Center by stopping by Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. or Friday 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Donations will be available for any area senior to pick up from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., while supplies last, December 23 at the Maumee Senior Center, 2430 S. Detroit Ave., Maumee.
