Holiday Hustle 5K Fundraiser Set for November 30
MAUMEE—The Holiday Hustle 5K Run/Walk returns to Maumee on November 30 kicking off the holiday season in Uptown Maumee.
“We are excited to be hosting the Holiday Hustle once again,” said Malinda Ruble, Executive Director of the Maumee Senior Center. “The Holiday Hustle and the Holiday Light Parade are long-time traditions in the area. All proceeds from the Holiday Hustle benefit the Maumee Senior Center’s programs and services.”
The 5K Run or Walk event also includes the 1K Elf Fun Run for children 12 and under. The Elf Fun Run, which is untimed, will begin at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, just prior to the 5:15 p.m. start to the Holiday Hustle. Registration is just $5 (no shirt included) or $17 for registration and a shirt. Prizes will be given to the first 50 finishers. However, registration must be received by Nov. 16, 2025 in order to receive a shirt.
Then at 5:15 p.m. the Holiday Hustle 5K Run/Walk will kick off in front of the Maumee Indoor Theater. Early Bird Registration is $25 if received by Nov. 16, 2025. Late registration fee from Nov. 16-Nov. 30 is $30 with limited shirt availability.
“Shirts will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis for participants registering from Nov. 16-Nov. 30. Supplies will be limited after Nov. 16. It’s best to register early to be guaranteed a shirt and to save $5 on the registration fee,” said Ruble.
However, runners and walkers who miss the deadlines can still register on race day from 3-5 p.m. at the Maumee Indoor Theater. Race Day registration is $30 and a shirt is not included.
Following the races, awards will be presented to race winners, as well as, for the best illuminated costume and the most creative holiday costume. A free Chick-fil-A coupon will be given to those who beat Santa or Mrs. Claus and refreshments will be offered inside the theater prior to the start of the holiday light parade.
“This is a great opportunity for the Maumee Senior Center to do something fun for the community and the proceeds benefit our seniors,” said Ruble. “With the rising costs of food, supplies and gas, it is becoming more difficult for seniors to make ends meet. Fundraisers like this one, helps the Maumee Senior Center to provide funding for transportation services to medical appointments and the grocery store and to provide meals, health assessments and activities for seniors at little or no costs.”
To register online for the races, go to https://runsignup.com/RaceOH/Maumee/HolidayHustle5K or drop off a registration form at the Maumee Senior Center, 2430 S. Detroit Ave., Maumee. Early packet pick up/late registration will be at Second Sole, 4130 Levis Commons Blvd., Perrysburg on Saturday, November 29, 2025 from 12-4:30 p.m.
“We are really looking to the community to come out and participate. This a great way for the family to spend the end of a holiday weekend and support our seniors,” said Ruble.
