Not Dead Yet Poets to host “Celebrating the Impact of Aging" Wednesday, December 10, 2025,
1:30 – 3:00PM,
in the auditorium of the West Toledo Library, 1320 West Sylvania Ave., Toledo, Ohio 43612.

This eclectic ensemble of like-minded, older adults will celebrate one year in community. They  believe in the transformative power of poetry while defying expiration dates and embracing their unique experiences through poetic verse.

The poetry group was founded fall, 2024 after engaging in an eight-week poetry workshop sponsored by Creative Aging Ohio with partial funding through the Ohio Arts Council, E. A. Michelson Philanthropy, and the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies.

Not Dead Yet Poets made their poetic stage debut during the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo’s Artomatic419 on September 20, 2025. The service-minded inspirers are taking their voices on the road!

The goal of the December 10 celebratory event is to connect with older adult audiences during a poetry reading and a fun Q &A conversation about aging creatively. The event is free and open to the public.
