The Kwanzaa Park Neighbors will welcome the return of Councilman John Hobbs III as guest speaker to the regular monthly Block Watch meeting. Councilman John Hobbs III was so well informed and on point that he was invited back for a second month.
Elected as the District 1 City Council Member in November 2023. He serves as Chair of the Public Safety & Criminal Justice Reform Committee and Vice Chair of Reginal Growth, Development & Small Business Enterprise Committee. Councilman Hobbs III is also a member of the Parks, Education, Recreation & Health Committee, the Finance, Debt & Budget Oversight Committee, and the Zoning & Planning Committee. Councilman Hobbs III also is a member of the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC).
Kwanzaa Park Neighbors along with other members of the community will have the opportunity to further ask questions and participate in conversation with what is going on in their neighborhood and to continue talks about possible changes they would like to see.
Prior to the meeting our Community Officer from the Toledo Police Department will give the crime statistics for our neighborhood. The Block Watch meeting offers an opportunity for neighbors to share concerns for the neighborhood and to work with not only the Toledo Police Department but the Fire Department as well to enhance public safety.
The meeting is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
