"Leslie Dietsch and Jerry Gray: Moments in Latitude" art exhibit and reception
20 North Gallery to open “Leslie Dietsch and Jerry Gray: Moments in Latitude”
Exhibition featuring landscape painting and photography by local artists
Toledo, OH—March 27, 2026 On April 17, 2026, 20 North Gallery will open “Leslie Dietsch and Jerry Gray: Moments in Latitude,” a two-person exhibition of traditional and alternative landscape in painting and photography. The exhibit features oil paintings by Erie, Michigan artist Leslie Dietsch and physically-manipulated photography by Toledo, Ohio artist Jerry Gray, each capturing the idea of a memory through a landscape.
The exhibit will open with a free Public Reception on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 6 – 8 p.m., featuring a light appetizer buffet and cash bar by Venue. The exhibition will continue through June 21, 2026.
“Leslie Dietsch and Jerry Gray: Moments in Latitude” pairs Dietsch’s oils in exhibition with physically-manipulated monoprints by Gray—forming a transportive installation of landscapes. Portraying the beauty of the Great Lakes and its environs, Dietsch’s paintings capture an intimate and at times nostalgic view of rural and maritime scenes. Dietsch’s paintings on canvas and panel preserve a place and moment in time, recording the distinguishing ways the elements influence the scene. Gray’s alternative prints memorialize moments from hiking and cross-country travel, manipulating the images in an exploration of the malleability of memory. Through a variety of processes, Gray hand-works his unique monoprints on paper or acetate, which are pinned to panel, like a collection of artifacts welcoming closer study. Both exhibiting artists of “Moments in Latitude” hand-made the frames for their distinct and individual series featured in this exhibition.
Leslie Dietsch (Erie, Michigan) graduated from The University of Toledo (Toledo, Ohio) and pursued further studies at Scottsdale Artist School (Scottsdale, Arizona). Her landscape paintings have been exhibited in regional shows, earning her numerous juried honors. Dietsch’s artworks form part of public and private permanent collections across the Midwest, including the collection of Henry Ford Health (Detroit, Michigan). Dietsch is an active member of the Toledo Artists’ Club and the Athena Art Society, in addition to serving as Chair for the Point Place Area Art Committee.
Jerry Gray (Toledo, Ohio) studied commercial and graphic art, graduating from Terra State Community College (Fremont, Ohio) in 2000. As a gallerist and arts event coordinator, Gray has organized and curated nearly 200 exhibitions and arts events throughout Toledo, Ohio. As a regular participant in local and regional shows since 2000, Gray has exhibited his own illustration, printmaking, sculpture, painting and photography in multiple shows annually, at venues and institutions including Bozarts Fine Art and Music Gallery (Toledo, Ohio), the Collingwood Arts Center (Toledo, Ohio) and 555 Arts (Detroit, Michigan).
In addition to the featured exhibit, 20 North Gallery also displays glass, sculpture, paintings and jewelry by noted artists of the region. Gallery hours are Wednesdays through Saturdays from noon to 4p.m.
