Local Painter Selected for Butler Midyear Show
A new painting from Northwest Ohio's Steve Mockensturm has been accepted for inclusion in the Butler Institute of American Art's 89th Annual Midyear Exhibition.
"Held annually for more than eight decades, the Midyear Exhibition highlights the diversity, skill, and innovation of American visual art and has showcased thousands of artists from across the nation."

Mockensturm's painting "Glass and Onion” is an 8”x10” traditional still life rendered in oil on a wooden panel. Using strong light and deep shadows, It depicts a water glass and a peeling onion on a draped shelf.
