Saint George Cathedral Summer Festival
St. George Orthodox Cathedral is proud to announce its 2026 Annual Summer Festival on July 17, 18, &; 19, 2026. It will be held on the Cathedral grounds at 3754 Woodley Road. Festival hours are:
Friday, July 17: 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Saturday, July 18: 4:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Sunday, July 19: Noon – 5:00 p.m.
Admission is $5.00 per person, and children 10 and under are free.
Festival-goers will enjoy a variety of live entertainment throughout the weekend. Friday evening will feature The Bridges from 7:00–11:00 p.m., while The Grape Smugglers will perform Saturday from 7:00–11:00 p.m. Sunday's entertainment includes After Shock, featuring St. George parishioners Nate Khoury and Dave Hairabedian, performing from 1:00–4:00 p.m. Traditional Middle Eastern music and Arabic dancing will also be featured throughout the festival.
Middle Eastern and American food will be available for purchase. A NEW and exciting menu will feature Middle Eastern festival favorites and the pastries that everyone craves. Sandwiches, French fries, and the ever-popular Zalabee (elephant ears) are also among the aromas filling the air. Adult beverages and soft drinks will quench all thirsty desires.
A children’s area will include Kiddie Carnival Games, Crafts, and Bouncy Houses. Sand Art and Face Painting will be among the activities to keep the children busy. Many games of chance are available for adults too. These include the opportunity to win a CAR, jewelry, and cash. Everyone can join in all the fun!
Guided church tours will run throughout the festival hours. Our beloved priest, Very Reverend Archpriest Michael Shaheen, will be available for any questions that may arise. Church memorabilia and novelties will be available for sale. Many more family-friendly surprises will be offered for a fun-filled weekend at St. George Cathedral on Woodley Road.
