TOLEDO, Ohio, July 1, 2026 – ProMedica will offer the following community events in August:
August 3, 2026 – ProMedica Weight Loss Surgery Support Group – The ProMedica Weight Loss Surgery Support Group is designed for patients who have undergone weight loss surgery or for community members seeking more information about this procedure. The group meets on the first Monday of every month at the ProMedica Health & Wellness Center, Education Conference Rooms 1 & 2 (5700 Monroe Street, Sylvania, OH 43560), beginning at 6 p.m. No registration is required.
August 17, 2026 – ProMedica Community Health Fair – The ProMedica Community Health Fair will feature health education and wellness resources for community members of all ages. Attendees can explore hands-on demonstrations of surgical robots, attend physician presentations, visit health education tables and enjoy food trucks and giveaways. The event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the ProMedica Health & Wellness Center, located at 5700 Monroe St. in Sylvania.
August 20, 2026 – Northeast Ohio Amputee Support Group – The Northeast Ohio Amputee Support Group is a peer-led group focused on connection, shared experience and real-world guidance. New amputees, long-term amputees, caregivers, supporters and anyone impacted by limb loss are encouraged to attend. The group meets on the third Thursday of every month at the ProMedica Health & Wellness Center, Community Room 1 (5700 Monroe Street, Sylvania, OH 43560), beginning at 4 p.m. No registration is required. August 27, 2026 – ProMedica Stroke Support Group – The ProMedica Stroke Support Group provides education and support for stroke survivors and their caregivers. This month, Jennifer Amsdell, MD, a neurologist at ProMedica, will present on the topic, “Spasticity Post Stroke.” The group will meet from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the second-floor Education Room inside the ProMedica Neurosciences Center.
August 2026 – ProMedica Ronald McDonald Care Mobile – The ProMedica Ronald McDonald Care Mobile is a child-focused mobile clinic offering sick visits, physicals, immunizations and more. The clinic is open Monday through Thursday every week. For questions or to schedule an appointment, please call or text 567-389-2841. Walk-ins are welcome.
