Jordan and Josh Bring Acoustic Favorites to Wednesday at Woodlands
The acoustic duo Jordan & Josh will perform at the Wednesday at Woodlands concert series on Wednesday, July 15, from noon to 1:00 p.m. at Woodlands Park, 429 E. Boundary Street in Perrysburg. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket, as picnic tables fill quickly.
Made up of Jordan Wiewandt and Josh Kirk, the duo has been performing together for more than a decade and as Jordan and Josh for the past eight years. Their performances feature a wide range of familiar favorites spanning several generations, covering rock from the 1960s through the 2000s with a strong emphasis on the 1970s, '80s and '90s. Their repertoire also includes classic country, dance favorites and an occasional hip-hop selection.
Their musical partnership began in 2012 after an unlikely turn of events. Josh was performing in a local cover band when Jordan, then just 16 years old, began attending shows with his family. A drummer at the time, Jordan occasionally joined the band on stage for a song or two. Later, when the group formed a new band and needed a bass player, Josh recommended Jordan for the audition, despite the fact that he had never played bass and didn't own one. Josh then loaned him his own bass guitar so he could prepare. Jordan earned the spot, and the opportunity set him on a path that eventually led to a full-time career in music. More than a decade later, the two are still sharing the stage as Jordan and Josh.
Today, Jordan performs music full time while Josh balances the duo with a career as a civil engineer. Together, they bring more than a decade of shared experience and musical chemistry to every performance.
