Still Choosing Us Marriage Conference Coming to Toledo October 2–3
Weekend conference at Church in Toledo - Westside Community will help married couples strengthen conflict resolution, connection, communication, and intimacy
TOLEDO, Ohio — Married couples from throughout Northwest Ohio are invited to invest (for free) in their relationship during Still Choosing Us: A Marriage Conference, taking place Friday and Saturday, October 2–3, 2026, at Westside Community Church, 6045 W. Bancroft St. in Toledo.
Designed as a practical and encouraging weekend for married couples, Still Choosing Us will create space for husbands and wives to reconnect, strengthen communication, have meaningful conversations, and develop practical tools for navigating the different seasons of marriage through a decidedely Christian worldview.
The conference will be led by three married teaching couples: Dr. Matt and Angie Kutz, Randy and Jennifer Kutz, and Jason and Joe’l King. Together, they will address four areas that affect nearly every marriage: conflict, connection, communication, and sex and intimacy.
Rather than presenting marriage as something that succeeds without effort, the conference will focus on the intentional choices couples make to understand one another, work through disagreement, rebuild connection, communicate clearly, and protect emotional and physical intimacy.
Still Choosing Us reflects the central idea of the weekend: healthy marriages require couples to continue choosing one another through changing circumstances, pressures, disagreements, and different stages of life.
This free conference begins Friday, October 2, from 7:00–9:00 p.m. and continues Saturday, October 3, from 9:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
In addition to teaching sessions, the weekend will feature a live panel conversation involving the teaching couples, a fun couples activity, and practical encouragement that couples can apply to their relationships after the conference ends.
Topics will include learning how to handle disagreement with honesty and grace; strengthening friendship and rebuilding trust; listening with greater understanding and communicating with clarity; and cultivating deeper physical and emotional intimacy through trust, vulnerability, warmth, and intentional care.
The conference is intended for married couples at every stage of marriage—from those early in their relationship to couples who have spent decades together. The goal is not simply to identify problems, but to give couples time and practical tools to invest intentionally in the relationship they already share.
