Public Candidate Forum Set for Sept. 30

Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague and local Republican candidates to appear at Toledo Yacht Club

TOLEDO, Ohio — Point Place Republicans and partner groups will host a free public candidate forum Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Toledo Yacht Club, The Den-Bar Room, 3900 N. Summit St., Bldg. 2, Toledo, OH 43611. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Featured speakers include Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague, Republican nominee for Secretary of State; Judge Lisa McGowan, Lucas County Court of Common Pleas – Domestic Relations; David Karmol, Republican nominee for Ohio House District 43; and Carolyn Munn, Republican nominee for Lucas County Auditor. Additional Republican candidates will also appear.

• Invocation by Pastor Carl Mitchell

• Opening statements from Republican candidates

• Questions on taxes, borders, schools, and public safety

• Audience Q&A — residents are encouraged to bring questions

• Informal meet-and-greet with candidates after the program

The event is open to the public. Admission is free. Hosts and sponsors are Point Place Republicans, the Lucas County Republican Party, Toledo College Republicans, the Sylvania Area Republican Club, and VoteR.

“Neighbors deserve to hear from the people asking for their vote—on taxes, schools, safety, and how elections are run,” said Ralph Thompson, Point Place Republicans chairman. “Come, ask questions, and bring a neighbor.”
