League of Women Voters of Perrysburg Area and BG - Candidate Round Table
Public invited to October 4 Candidate Round Table
The League of Women Voters of the Perrysburg Area and the League of Women Voters of Bowling Green will co-host a Candidate Round Table on Sunday, October 4, at 2:00 p.m. at the Perrysburg Heights Community Center in Perrysburg, Ohio.
This community event offers voters across Northwest Ohio the opportunity to meet candidates in person and ask questions about issues affecting their communities. Invited candidates include those running for: U.S. Congressional Districts 5 and 9; Ohio House Districts 44 and 75; Court of Appeals Judge District 6; Wood County Common Pleas Judge; Wood County Probate Judge; Wood County Commissioner; and Wood County Auditor.
“An informed electorate is essential to a healthy democracy,” said Starr Wlodarski, event moderator and President of the League of Women Voters of the Perrysburg Area. “This event gives voters an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates themselves.”
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization dedicated to encouraging informed and active participation in government, increasing understanding of major public policy issues, and influencing public policy through education and advocacy. The League provides a forum for all political candidates. The Candidates Round Table is not an endorsement or rejection of any candidate’s views and the League assumes no responsibility for the candidate’s responses to questions.
Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be available. The event is free and open to the public.
