Courageous Community Services to Host Enchanted Evening, Creating Opportunities for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
Anne Grady Services and Courageous Community Services will host its annual Enchanted Evening on October 23rd at Parkway Place located at 2592 Parkway Plaza Maumee Oh, bringing community members, families, supporters and friends together for an evening of celebration while raising critical support for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Enchanted Evening is more than a night of dinner, dancing and celebration. It is an opportunity for the community to come together around a shared belief: every person deserves the opportunity to experience a full and meaningful life.
The support raised through events like Enchanted Evening helps Courageous Community Services provide opportunities that extend far beyond everyday care. It helps create experiences, memories and moments of connection that enrich the lives of the individuals the organization serves.
Last year's support helped make experiences such as a trip to Universal, Christmas celebrations and a community parking lot party possible for individuals with developmental disabilities and the staff who support them.
“These experiences may seem like simple things, but they are the moments that make up a meaningful life,” said Hannah Sellers, Marketing and Communications. “Our mission is about much more than meeting someone's basic needs. It is about creating opportunities for people to explore, celebrate, connect with others and experience the joy and possibilities that life has to offer. Enchanted Evening helps us continue making those opportunities possible.”
For individuals with developmental disabilities, opportunities to travel, participate in community activities, celebrate holidays, develop friendships and simply enjoy time with others can have a profound impact on quality of life.
Courageous Community Services believes that individuals deserve access to the same opportunities to create memories and pursue their interests as anyone else.
“Everyone deserves to have stories to tell,” said Sellers. “A trip with friends. A favorite celebration. A night spent laughing with people you care about. These are the experiences that become memories, and our supporters help make those memories possible.”
Guests attending Enchanted Evening will have the opportunity to enjoy dinner, Live and Silent Auction. while supporting the programs and services that make these experiences possible.
